Pressure Relief Valves (PRV)
Spring actuated pressure relief valves (PRV) are direct acting,
relying on a system's hydraulic pressure to open when the spring’s
preset force has been exceeded. When the inlet fluid pressure rises
and overcomes the spring set pressure, the sealing device is lifted
off its seat and discharges fluid to the outlet. When pressure
falls below the setting, the sealing device moves back on to its
seat and fluid passes downstream.
- Direct acting, with repeatable usage
- Seat made from high strength, corrosion resistant material
- Lock-out tag identifies set pressure and prevent tampering with
Relief valves in 2-inch and 3-inch sizes for operating pressures up
to 20,000 psi are available.
